Introduction
You do not need to be in crisis to seek support, you just need to feel ready to stop carrying things on your own.
Therapy is not about being ‘fixed’ it is about being supported and guided as you reconnect with yourself and move forward at your own pace.
You may be carrying anxiety, sadness, self-doubt, relationship issues, loss or simply a sense that something is not quite right.
At times it can feel exhausting trying to cope alone.
I offer a warm, welcoming space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life without fear of judgement. My focus is on understanding your unique experiences, listening carefully to what matters to you, and supporting you as you find your own way forward.
I believe that every person has their own story, strengths and challenges. Whether you are facing a difficult period, feeling stuck or looking for greater clarity and confidence, we can work together at a pace that feels right for you.
The first step is having a conversation with someone who will genuinely listen.
A client’s thoughts may not be logical but they still feel real. A racing mind that never switches off. If you are overthinking, we would work on changing how you respond to your thoughts, so they have less power over you.
A client may feel constantly exhausted from trying to keep it together. We can look at your thoughts, habits and relationships to understand what keeps you stuck, giving yourself space to reflect, gain clarity and feel truly heard.
At the end of therapy you may still face challenges but you will respond with more calm and confidence.
We can explore coping mechanisms and use collaborative problem solving to help navigate your challenges.
A client may have physical symptoms, heart racing and feel like they cannot breathe, this can be frightening and can be a common symptom of anxiety. We would practice breathing and grounding techniques to help you calm the body when this happens.
Qualifications & Contact
Reaching out for support can be the hardest step. Ready to begin or simply have a question? You are welcome to get in touch via email jaynecounselling1@gmail.com or by using the contact form below. You can also send a text via my mobile 07957543453.
No pressure or obligation, I aim to respond in 48 hours. We can have an initial chat to see if you feel happy to have your first session of counselling with me. There is no pressure to commit, just a ‘first step’. At the start of therapy there are four things to consider:-
- HOW ARE YOU FEELING?
- HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO FEEL?
- WHAT IS STOPPING YOU?
- SMALL GOALS & ACHIEVEMENTS
examples - tired, overwhelmed, demotivated, anxious, stuck
examples, energetic, confident, organised, connected, accomplished
examples, lack of sleep, too many commitments, fear of failure, perfectionist, procrastinating, unclear priorities, constant distractions
Small repeated actions often create bigger changes than waiting to feel completely ready.
Approach
I trained in Person Centred Therapy, I also use Integrative methods to respond to what you need in the moment. Counselling is not ‘one size fits all’. I adapt my approach to your individual needs, drawing on different therapeutic styles to support you. Together we will find what works for you. Therapy is a space where you get to be exactly who you are and find your own way forward.
